SR.MADEEHA NISAR

Sr.Khairyeh has been a teacher at the Masjid Usmans EQS (evening quran school) for over 7 years.  She was asked to join the elementary school, since her dedication to the arabic language has become widely noticed within our organization.

Sr.Khairyeh is a native to Palestine, and she brings the histroy and traditions of the arabic language alive at our school. She is a qualified Arabic instructor with ability to teach conversational arabic, classical arabic and interpret the Quran ul Kareem.

Sr. Khairyeh's greatest achievements however, are her 4 beautiful children. She is a strong and well respected teacher, and has a great bond with all the students she teaches.

Sr. Khairyeh  strives to bring alive the messages of the Quran to our youth. By understanding arabic, she feels they will be closer to the Quran and Sunnah of our beloved Messenger SAW. She has created a unique program at Brock Elementary School in which students are learning Ahkamul Tajweed, memorization of Surahs, Nadhira of the Holy Quran, and ofcourse conversational and wriiten arabic skills.

Though her timings at our school do not allow for much communication with parents, she is happy to speak to any concerned individuals. Please call the office Administrator and set up a meeting, or a phone call time with her.

Sr.Bibi Shariman is an Ontario Certified Teacher with over 30 years of experience in excellent teaching. She is the newest member of our staff at Brock Elementary School. Sr.Bibi, though qualified to teach students of a much higher age range, is finding the challenge of teaching young students both rewarding, and fruitful. Since she brings a higher degree of education to the material, she is able to sucsessfully push the children to attain  their best , and move past the somewhat restricted curriculum.

Sr.Bibi brings a lot of culture to the Grade 3 and 4 program. She is a native of Guyana, and uses her culture to enrich the lives of the children. She is often caught discussing the importance of being global citizens, sincere muslims and mindful neighbors.

Like most of our staff, she too is a proud mother and grandmother. The honour of passing on wisdom with knowledge is a concept of great importance to Sr.Bibi. She takes being an educator as a great responsibility and fulfills her obligations well.

Sr. Bibi can be found upstairs during school hours,in the grade 3 and 4 classroom. She is unable to connect to a phone, but should you wish to speak to her, you may call her at 905-426-7887 ext 6 between the hours of 11:00 a.m-12:00 p.m

TESTIMONIALS

Assalam alaikum Sr. Farzana,

Alhumdulillah, this school year has gotten off to a great start! I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for some of the improvements I have noticed in the school this year.

Firstly, your position as the principal this year has made a huge difference! You are strongly visible and actively involved in the school, and it is easy for parents to meet and voice concerns with you.

My son is in SK this year and his time at BES has instilled a deep love of learning within him. His teachers are warm and nurturing and, along with providing academic challenges, they have helped him develop a strong Muslim identity.

I have noticed many improvements to the kindergarten program this year, Alhumdulilah. Whether it is having the kindergarten teachers meet the students downstairs in the morning, initiation of a weekly homework folder, the new uniform, easy to understand curricular plans for the year, or even simply ensuring the children get a daily break for gym time, all these changes have added up to a more organized and enriching school environment.  I also appreciate that the school has hired an Ontario Certified Teacher for kindergarten, thus ensuring that our children receive the same level of education as any public school-educated child.

Moving forward, I hope to see an increased focus on literacy, hands on math and science programs and perhaps the addition of school library for the students. As the school expands, I am hopeful  you have plans to invest in larger classroom spaces and designated outdoor areas for the students’ recess time.

Jazakallah to all the staff and board members for their tireless efforts towards building an exemplary school for our children. I feel comforted knowing my son goes to school in the mosque, prays with the jamah everyday and is in a safe and wholesome environment. May Allah reward you for all your hard work.
