Quran

Students will be alloted a time period of 1/2 hour to practice thier quran with a qualified instructor. During this time, students begin thier studies from the Ahsanul Qawaid, and transition smoothly into the Holy Quran. While learning to recognize the letters, join the letters and form the words are a integral part of this class, students will also spend some time every week memorizing surahs from the holy quran, and duas from the sunnah.

Along with Quran and Arabic, students will spend 45 minutes 3 times a week developing thier understanding of islamic requirements. It is vital we pass on the strong Islamic traditions that date back to our Prophet Muhammad SAW, to our young ones. Students will cover the core and basic beliefs, and the subjects will be more detailed as the grades progress.

Part of the Islamic Studies unit covers islamic history. We begin from the Prophethood of the Prophet SAW, the seerah of his life, and transition into the golden era of islam. Students will study in detail the excursions, the battles and the vast empire of the muslim rule.  They will end as the ending of Ottoman empire which dated back in the year 1917. Western world history will begin from this point.

One of the most unique methods to Islamic Education is the subject of Arabic as a language. It is truly a blessing to be able to find a instructor who has knowledge of this matter and is able to relate it to the students. Students at Brock Elementary are blessed to have a qualified instructor to guide them in the process of speaking and conversing in the arabic language. This will also help aid in the understanding of Quran and Hadith.
