Sr.Mariam Beg

Sr.Fatema Mahjabeen
Sister Fatema is a well known member of the Pickering Islamic Centre community. She has been involved in many acitiviies, classes and programs on a volunteer basis. Sister Fatema has been the co-ordinator for the Friday Girls School for over 5 years. She is also the voice for sisters to the Shura, as the head of the Sisters committee.
Sister Fatemas dedicated nature, allowed her to become a full time member of the ECE program in previous years. It is then, she realized her passion in educating and assisting. She enrolled in a ECE program, and is currently completing her degree. Sr. Fatema has seen the benefit of learning the program and teaching simultanieously. She finds, this enables her to practice first hand the concepts she learns, and apply them immediately.
Among other academic and work place achievments, Sr.Fatema is a devoted mother to her 2 children, who are also enrolled in Brock Elementary School. She thrives to help children achieve the best of both worlds by teaching the curriculam on the basis of our beautiful faith.
Sr,Fatema can be found daily in the Kindergarten classroom upstairs at Masjid Usman. Please feel free to contact her should you have any questions and or concerns.

Sister Mariam Beg is a kind and nurturing teacher with over 20 years of experience. She has been a new addition to our ECE program in 2014. Sister Mariam has a montessori degree , with which she brings a unique aspect of teaching to our Grade 1 and 2's. She is a highly skilled and well recognized teacher, with many qualifications and achievements.
Sister Mariams most amazing attribute, is her ability to connect to the students. She never hesitates to befriend all the students and thier families. She is a kind, collected and thoughtful individual who goes out of her way to ensure the students are not only grasping concepts, but applying them into their everyday lives.
She thrives to instill manners, etiquettes and life skills to enable children to face the world head on.
Sister Mariam is also a proud mom of 6 kids. She enjoys her free time with her four beautiful grandchildren. Sister Mariam is a wonderful addition to our staff, and a dedicated and qualified teacher.
Sr.Mariam can be found in the Grade 1 and 2 classroom upstairs in the sisters area of Masjid Usman. She can also be reached on the phone during school hours at 905-426-7887 ext 302
Sr.Khairyeh has been a teacher at the Masjid Usmans EQS (evening quran school) for over 7 years. She was asked to join the elementary school, since her dedication to the arabic language has become widely noticed within our organization.
Sr.Khairyeh is a native to Palestine, and she brings the histroy and traditions of the arabic language alive at our school. She is a qualified Arabic instructor with ability to teach conversational arabic, classical arabic and interpret the Quran ul Kareem.
Sr. Khairyeh's greatest achievements however, are her 4 beautiful children. She is a strong and well respected teacher, and has a great bond with all the students she teaches.
Sr. Khairyeh strives to bring alive the messages of the Quran to our youth. By understanding arabic, she feels they will be closer to the Quran and Sunnah of our beloved Messenger SAW. She has created a unique program at Brock Elementary School in which students are learning Ahkamul Tajweed, memorization of Surahs, Nadhira of the Holy Quran, and ofcourse conversational and wriiten arabic skills.
Though her timings at our school do not allow for much communication with parents, she is happy to speak to any concerned individuals. Please call the office Administrator and set up a meeting, or a phone call time with her.
Sr.Bibi Shariman is an Ontario Certified Teacher with over 30 years of experience in excellent teaching. She is the newest member of our staff at Brock Elementary School. Sr.Bibi, though qualified to teach students of a much higher age range, is finding the challenge of teaching young students both rewarding, and fruitful. Since she brings a higher degree of education to the material, she is able to sucsessfully push the children to attain their best , and move past the somewhat restricted curriculum.
Sr.Bibi brings a lot of culture to the Grade 3 and 4 program. She is a native of Guyana, and uses her culture to enrich the lives of the children. She is often caught discussing the importance of being global citizens, sincere muslims and mindful neighbors.
Like most of our staff, she too is a proud mother and grandmother. The honour of passing on wisdom with knowledge is a concept of great importance to Sr.Bibi. She takes being an educator as a great responsibility and fulfills her obligations well.
Sr. Bibi can be found upstairs during school hours,in the grade 3 and 4 classroom. She is unable to connect to a phone, but should you wish to speak to her, you may call her at 905-426-7887 ext 6 between the hours of 11:00 a.m-12:00 p.m

Sr.Aliya
Sr.Aliya is the newest member to the faculty at Brock Elementary School. She came highly recommended and fully qualified.
Sr.Aliya holds a M.S.C in Information Technology from London, England being a scholarship holder. She also attained her Bachelors of Education from The University of Ontario, Institute of Technology, with the highest distinction.
Sr.Aliya has working experience with the Toronto District School Board, The Durham District School Board as well as the York District School Board. She is qualified and experienced in teaching all grades and levels, as well as all subjects.
Sr.Aliya resides in Scarborough, Ontario and is a mom of two boys. Her vast knowledge and experience within all fields of education come highly skilled and is a great asset and advantage to the students at Brock Elementary School.
In her personal time, Sr.Aliya enjoys reading, swimming and Yoga.
Sr.Aliya can be found in the Kindergarten class during regular school hours. She is happy to answer any queries and looks forward to meeting all the parents of Brock Elementary School.

Sr.Aesha Luqman
Sr.Aysha Luqman has been an active member in the Pickering Islamic Centre for almost 10 years. She has organized and contributed her time to many events, functions and Masjid programs.It was an easy transition from Co-ordinating and teaching in the Evening Quran School for almost 8 years, to becoming a full time administrator for the day school.
Being Educated and Educating are concepts of great importance to Ms.Luqman. She is currently completing 2 degrees along with her full time administration activities. She is in the second year of her "Foundations for Teaching" degree with the United Education Trust, as well as completing her third of four years in the sciences of Classical Arabic, with the Pioneer Masjid in Ontario, The Oshawa Islamic Centre. It is her hope, Inshallah that this degree paves way for her Ultimate goal of a Islamic Scholar Degree.
Sr. Aysha has many achievments in the field of Administration. She has worked actively with many notable and credible organizations such as Dun&Bradstreet, Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian March of Dimes and Perfect Tax and Accounting Services of Toronto. In every position, she came highly recommended and strongly skilled. She also gained expertise and aquired the neccessary skills to apply to her position as administrator for Brock Elementary School for iits first year. This year However, Sr.Aysha will be the full instructor for Islamic Studies, teaching all the grades and levels.
Sr.Aysha is a familiar face in the masjid and community. She strives to build a better school system for students of knowledge. She is passionate about creating an enviroment where young children can learn to balance the education in both academics and religion, and be confident in applying them to the real world.
You can find Sr.Aysha during the afternoon, on the second floor of the Masjid Usman bulding. She is always happy to help and looks forward to addressing any questions and or suggestions you may have.
